The Abandoned Gas Station is a location in Deus Ex. It is located somewhere in central California west of Vandenberg Air Force Base[1] and near and the ruins of Los Angeles,[2] which was sunk during a severe earthquake in 2030.
Deus Ex[]
After assisting X-51 in defeating the Majestic 12 force attacking Vandenberg, JC Denton is sent here to rescue Tiffany Savage, who was taken hostage by Majestic 12 during an attempt to steal Universal Constructor schematics from the MJ12 Ocean Lab. Several MJ12 Troopers, MJ12 Commandos and a Man in black hold her inside a freezer beside the gas station, and if one knows that JC is nearby, they will kill Tiffany.
Two bums used to live here, but were ushered out by MJ12 and now live in the street below. One of the bums, Fred, will sell weapon mods and a rebreather. Depending on JC's actions earlier in the game, Sandra Renton may also be there with the bums.

- The station's signage lists prices of 3.95 6/10, 4.05 6/10, and 4.05 6/10 for unleaded, power, and diesel, respectively.
- The gas pumps can be blown up.
Trivia[]
- Unused audio exist in the game files for a cut conversation between the MiB and a trooper exists. In the conversation, the MiB states, "The report was accurate. They sent someone for the girl." This may have been written to indicate that Jock's Helicopter was spotted near the gas station.
- Its location is technically impossible as the Pacific Ocean is located west of Vandenburg AFB.
