The Altered Biocell is an special item in the DLC A Criminal Past for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The Altered Biocell contains hidden Praxis Kits and can be found in a fox plushie in the laundry room.
Uniquely, the Altered Biocell is both a story item and an inventory item. When used or given away, the Altered Biocell disappears from both the story items list as well the regular inventory.
Description[]
A package that seems to be intended for Flossy. What could he possibly want with a biocell? Especially one that appears to have been modified to include Praxis software.
Use[]
There are two ways the Altered Biocell can be used. Flossy wants Jensen to give it to Red Shoes, as this will help out the prison riot. If Jensen does this, Flossy will be grateful and the riot will be more successful. Alternatively, Jensen can ignore this request and use it for himself (or not at all). When used, the Altered Biocell gives 5 Praxis points directly. Additionally, since use of the biocell will satisfy a mission objective, the player is generally awarded an additional Praxis point as a result of experience gain, for a total of 6 Praxis points.
Using the Altered Biocell unlocks access to augmentations if Jensen did not take the Fixer's pill. However the choke will remain.
Notes[]
- The laundry room cannot be accessed until after the initial conversation with Flossy.
- The code to the laundry room door is 6014.
