The Chinese Military Police is a type of armed non-player character in Deus Ex. Military police patrols the streets of Hong Kong in 2052 as a police force, following increased public violence between the Red Arrow and Luminous Path Triads.
Characteristics[]
The Chinese military police is a type of common trooper. Like other common troopers, they have 100 HP and have no special resistances against any damage type. Military police can be seen using heavy weapons, such as flamethrowers, as well as conventional small arms such as assault rifles and shotguns. In Hong Kong, some military police may use non-lethal weapons such as gas grenades.
Locations[]
Chinese military police are first encountered in Hong Kong (6th mission). As the police, they are neutral by default, but will turn hostile if they see JC Denton engaging in hostiles or other prohibited actions. They are seen again during the 8th mission, guarding the lower decks of the PRCS Wall Cloud. This time, they are hostile rather than neutral.
Notable members[]
- Officer Tam – Next to the ATM in the Wan Chai market.
- Eddie Way – Patroller of the Wan Chai underground mall.
Bugs[]
- All the officers outside Lucky Money will be tagged as "Eddie Way" after talking to them.
