Background[]
The combat knife is a military-style knife with a shape coming from the bottom of the grip.
Like the combat knife in the original Deus Ex game, it is also made with ultra high-carbon stainless steel.
Characteristics[]
The combat knife has an average swing speed, but does low damage. Because of this, the knife does little damage to robots.
Tactics[]
- The combat Knife has low range, so the player needs to essentially get next to an enemy in order to hit them with it.
- It is fairly weak and has low range, so the player should try to aim for the head whenever they can, as headshots do more damage.
- The Combat Strength aug is essential for making the combat knife an effective weapon. The damage boost makes the knife go from being weak to being fairly powerful.
- The Speed Enhancement aug makes the combat knife more practical to use, as it makes it practical to perform hit and run attacks on enemies, along with making circle-strafing foes while attacking them to avoid damage much more useful.
