Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis returns as an augmentation in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Unlike its predecessor in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, all quiet enhancements (like sprint and jump) have been combined into one upgrade.

Description[]

The Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis replaces the user's legs with enhanced-function mechanical substitutes.

In place of organic musculature, these limbs utilize myomeres (spun carbon nanotubes activated with electric fields) that function similarly to human muscle, though with superior strength and endurance.

Additional functionality, including enhanced jump height and the ability to move without audible detection becomes possible as the user mounts and enables various upgrades to the prosthesis.

A cybernetic leg, granting improved stamina, strength, and stability.

Klipspringer Jump Mod[]

The Klipspringer Jump modifier increases myomere density and activates a shock-absorbing gel matrix on the knee joints and hip mounts. This allows the user to make standing high jumps of up to three meters.

Leg Silencers[]

The Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis is a relatively noisy augmentation. The servo-motors that provide movement, as well as the moving parts in the knee, ankle, and hip joints, produce a fair amount of noise.

The Leg Silencer add-on eliminates all mechanical noise while walking and running, through the activation of sound-dampening hardware, ferrofluid gel surrounding the joints, and mechanical code improvements.

Move silently when walking, running, or landing.

Moving faster consumes more energy.
Although the augmentation is supposed to be unisex, in Mankind Divided, Jensen has high-heels structure on his feet.
Unlike Cybernetic Arm Prosthesis, this augmentation is initally fully locked. Cybernetic Arm Prosthesis has itself and an upgrade unlocked from early game.
Jensen can still use his legs normally even when this augmentation is still fully locked.
This is the only augmentation that belongs to "Legs" augmentation slot.

Trivia[]

The klipspringer is a small antelope found in eastern and southern Africa. They jump to around 7.62 meters (25 feet). In comparison, Jensen can only jump to 3 meters (9.84 feet).
Klipspringer means “rock jumper” in Afrikaans.
The Klipspringer Jump Mod icon appears to be a reference to Mario.
