Daniel Janecek is the security supervisor at the Palisade Property Bank in Prague. He has an office on the main floor of the Bank.
Biography[]
Under Janecek's supervision, Palisade has experienced security failures. One employee, Bartosz Wlodek, who reportedly has an underground persona on some anarchist site, has been divulging secret information to the public.[1] Furthermore, important clients such as the Picus Group have expressed concerns highlighting potential security issues and protocol failures.[2] Another client was upset that the Executive Safe room seem to have foliage, suggesting problems with the physical security of the building.[3]
Security failures at the bank have been exacerbated by hacker activity. Several hackers, including those in the Juggernaut Collective, have taken advantage of the bank's security weaknesses. In order to defend against hackers, the bank has been forced to divert resources away from fixing the security problems.[4]
Faced with these problems, Janecek directed the blame for the security problems onto Julien Bartek, resulting in Bartek's termination from employment.[5] Bartek, angry with Janecek and Palisade, tried to infiltrate the bank to find evidence that would implicate Janecek's negligence, but died in the sewers along the way.
Notes[]
- Janecek can be seen in the Palisade Property Bank, but has no special interactions. During the second visit to Prague, he can be seen in his office on the main floor.
- Janecek's computer has a messenger function that can be used to reduce the bank's security measures on the third floor. You can impersonate Janecek in the messenger by finding and reading the pocket secretary "Employee IDs" found in the nearby security office, which will provide Janecek's ID (DJ4489) for the messaging interaction. In what appears to be an oversight, the ID that is given in the messaging interaction does not match the ID in the pocket secretary.
- Janecek seems to have a poor reputation among his coworkers in the bank. For example, in the messenger on Wlodek's computer, Barabas will write, "Sometimes he really gets on my nerves." In the conversation with Romanek, one of his possible lines is: "You tell Janecek when you see him that he's a low-down slimy... Nevermind. I'll tell him myself."
