EMP converter is a weapon mod in Deus Ex: Invisible War. When this weapon mod is installed on a weapon, the weapon in question will do EMP damage in every shot, similar to the Mag Rail's alternate fire and the attacks of light spider bots. EMP converter can prove useful on any weapon it can be installed on, although it is best used on either the SMG and pistol for their high rate of fire, or the sniper rifle and boltcaster for their high range capabilities which are very useful against slow, nearsighted bots. There are only a handful of nano-augmented agents in the game, so if the player has an alternate method of dealing with bots, it may be wiser to use another mod instead. EMP Converter is not the rarest mod in the game, but it is still somewhat uncommon compared to the refire rate and increased range mods.
