Electronic control panels are devices in Deus Ex that are typically tied to electrical hazards and laser tripwires.
Control panels are interacted with using multitools. Fully bypassing a control panel will trigger a predefined event, which is typically the disabling of a linked electrical hazard or laser tripwire. The number of multitools needed to bypass a control panel depends on the control panel's bypass strength and the player's skill level inelectronics, which governs the effectiveness of multitools. Once a control panel has been bypassed (and its predefined event has been triggered), it no longer has any further functionality for the remainder of the mission.
