Gerard Romero is a character in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. His body is found in his apartment, which is located above above Praha Unneda Cleaning Supply in Čistá Čtvrť.
Biography[]
Romero is regarded as one of the few good cops left in Prague.[1] He not only refuses to play along with the Dvali, but also actively subverts their human trafficking operations by sneaking victims out of the city via a part of the Překážka sewers. However, because many of Romero's colleagues in the police force are on the Dvali's payrolls, they are not happy when the Dvali lose revenue.[2]
When Paulina Machieraldo escaped from the Dvali along with a few others, she obtained Romero's email contact from Jacinta Velazquez and contacted him for help. Romero agreed to help Paulina. He instructed her to hide in the Překážka sewers and to wait there for his arrival. However, Romero was killed in his apartment before he was able to link up with Paulina's group.[2] Paulina and her group waited in the sewers for days, but were eventually discovered by police drones sent to hunt them down.
