James Swallow
James Swallow is a British author, journalist, and scriptwriter who worked with Eidos-Montréal from 2008-2020[1] as a writer for the Deus Ex series.
Already familiar with the original Deus Ex at the time, Swallow joined Eidos-Montréal's Deus Ex team in late 2008 after he was approached by narrative designer Mary DeMarle.[2] Swallow authored all four novels (including novellas) in the Deus Ex series, and served as a writer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: The Fall, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Swallow's story writing for Human Revolution earned him a BAFTA nomination.[3]
A New York Times, Sunday Times, and Amazon #1 best-seller, Swallow is also known for authoring original novels, as well as tie-in fiction of other series, including Warhammer 40k, Star Trek, Stargate, and Splinter Cell.
