Lenny is a character in Deus Ex. He is a drug addict who can be found in the men's restroom in Brooklyn Bridge Station in New York City.
Background[]
Lenny can be found 'Jonesing' in the men's toilets in the station as he has not had his fix of zyme, which he would normally obtain from Rock, the local drug dealer. However, Lenny already 'owes' Rock (presumably credits) and so cannot approach him.
On encountering the player, Lenny will warn them that he has a bomb, which JC responds to by pointing out it's not an effective close-range combat solution. Lenny then offers to swap his LAM for a vial of zyme.
Notes[]
- Even if the player has not acquired one of the two possible vials of zyme at the point they meet Lenny, they can act as a middleman and buy one off of Rock themselves for 250 credits, therefore making this the cheapest way of acquiring a LAM in the station via pacifist means, as El Rey offers to sell one to the player for 750 credits unless he kills Rock, in which case he will give it to the player for free. Equally, killing Lenny yields a LAM, as does killing El Rey.
- Another alternative would be to kill Rock, take the zyme from his body, give it to Lenny for one free LAM and then tell El Rey you killed Rock, getting another free LAM.
Bugs[]
- If your inventory is full when you give him the zyme, he will not give you the LAM. JC will say that he needs to off-load something, but even if one does so, they will be unable to get the LAM without killing Lenny.
- If provoked, he will attack the player with a crowbar on close range, making him one of the few NPCs to do so.
