Lukáš Babik is a child whom Adam Jensen encounters during the Růžička Station bombing. He is the son of Marta Babik, who held an apartment in Prague near Palisade Station. His only appearance is in the Růžička Station bombing cinematic in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Biography[]
Lukáš is the son of Marta and Kryštof. Kryštof was abusive so Marta and Lukáš secretly estranged themselves from Kryštof, who came to believe that the two were deceased. Marta wanted to give custody of Lukáš to her sister Hanka in the event of her death. However, since she was still legally married to Kryštof, she could not transfer custody of her son upon her death without filing an action in court, but doing so would reveal to Kryštof that she and Lukáš are still alive. The fact that she met her sister already created a risk that her husband may discover her status and whereabouts.[1]
Marta and Lukáš were at bombing of Růžička Station. After the bombs went off, Marta became trapped under the rubble while Lukáš called for help. Answering Lukáš' call, Adam Jensen tried clearing the debris off of her, but was not able to save her. A later report by Daniel Fletcher revealed that the bruising on her head, shoulders, and back suggests that she died shielding her son from collapsing debris. Lukáš survived the bombing, but his whereabouts afterwards are not known. According to Fletcher, he is "in the wind somewhere."[2]
Trivia[]
- A prerelease side missions list includes a mission named "Loose Ends." The mission mentioned two locations, referred to as "Safe House Lukas" and "Hotel Room (sister)", which presumably relate to Lukáš and his mother's sister, Hanka. This mission was cut from the final game.
