Marta Babik was a Prague resident who died at the Růžička Station bombing. After the bombs went off, she died trapped under the rubble despite Adam Jensen's efforts to rescue her. Marta held an apartment in Prague near Palisade Station.

Biography[]

Marta and her husband Kryštof raised a son named Lukáš. Kryštof was an abusive husband, so Marta and Lukáš secretly estranged themselves from Kryštof, who believed that the two were deceased.[1] Marta also joined a battered women's organization.[2]

At some point, Marta met her sister Hanka and wanted to give Hanka custody of Lukáš in the event of her death. However, since she was still legally married to Kryštof, she could not transfer custody of her son upon her death without filing an action in court, but doing so would reveal to Kryštof that she and her son are still alive. The fact that she met her sister already created a risk that her husband may discover her status and whereabouts.[1]

Later, Marta and Lukáš were at the scene of the Růžička Station bombing. After the bombs went off, she became trapped under the rubble. Adam Jensen attempted to remove the rubble from her body after Lukáš called her help, but was unable to save her. A later report revealed that the bruising on her head, shoulders, and back suggests that she died shielding her son from collapsing debris. Lukáš survived the bombing,[2] but his eventual fate is not stated.

Notes[]

  • An arm reaching out from the rubble can be seen in the Růžička Station in-game location. The arm may belong to Marta, since the placement of the arm there suggests that it is the same arm that Jensen reached towards in the bombing cinematic. However, portrayal of Marta's body still being under the rubble is somewhat inconsistent with the email in the TF29 headquarters indicating that Marta's body was examined for injuries.[2]
