Medkit (DX)

Medkits are items in Deus Ex used to restore health. Medkits are single-use items that take one space in the inventory grid. Multiple medkits will stack in the inventory. A maximum of 15 medkits can be held in the inventory.

Use to heal critical body parts, or use on character screen to direct healing at a certain body part.

Use

The amount of HP restored by use of a medkit depends on the player's skill level in the medicine skill. At the untrained level, a medkit restores 30 HP. At the trained, advanced and master levels, a medkit restores 60, 75, and 90 HP, respectively.

Medkits can be used from the tool belt, in the inventory interface, or in the health interface. The healing effect of medkits is instant.

Later in the game, the regeneration augmentation can serve as a substitute for medkits. Additionally, food items, such as soy food, candy bars, and soda, may also serve as substitutes to some extent.
