I've gotten a request for adminship from a user. I was going to promote her, as she's been helpful to the wiki, but I wanted to contact the other members of staff to see if you guys had any objections or reservations about it.
Categories for the Augmentations (DX3) page aren't showing....I removed several redundant categories today via "source edit". Maybe there's a code error somewhere on that page? Will have a look tomorrow...
Is there any way to increase the height of the of the Portal Template? The slider on the Main Page: Deus Ex Wiki (which uses the Slider template) isn't "high" enough to accommodate the subsequent slider components:
I saw some page redirects that aren't necessary/used anymore. Don't think we need to keep misspelled redirects, but some (like AI) might still be usefull? What's the policy regarding redirects? Can unused ones be deleted?
Unused redirects can be deleted, I believe. There are some that I noticed are unnecessary, but I haven't had the time to take care of it. Usually, the policy is that they're only necessary when referring to another page by a different, but still correct, title on a page. If you need anything else, let me know!
Cool, I'm busy sorting the links, but there's quite a lot of them, so doing it piece by piece when I have the time. I've made a list on my profile page (nowhere near complete) of unused redirects, if you're interested. Note that not all of them should necessarily be deleted (like you mentioned, for example FEMA is still useful to make it easier for contributors) so use your own discretion in the Delete section. Let me know if I can improve it in some way.
Oh....one more. Last one I promise :P. eBook vs ebook vs e-book etc...It's debatable which is the best, although it seems like it's converging to e-book (America) or ebook (UK). It will probably change to ebook, like with email. So...which do you think we should use? Just want to be consistent throughout the wiki....will probably have to go change all my edits...lol
Quickly, on eBooks - pretty sure the game just about always uses "eBook", which i believe this wiki tried to emulate, despite whatever modern day usage is dominant. Only reason the dedicated page isn't set up that way is the first letter of the first word of a page has to be capitalized, and it would look kinda silly as EBook.
