  • Thanks for adding Delara screenshots! However, in the future please consider using PNG instead of JPEG for the screenshots. PNG is lossless (unlike JPEG), meaning better image quality. Just something to consider. Thanks again!

  • Hey, as I said to Sugarhoney as well, Wikia are making a series of videos as part of a Mankind Divided walkthrough. They wanted help from the DX community with the script of these videos (as in what sort of tips to give new players of the series), so were wondering if you would be able to help out? Thanks!

  • It's been annoying me for ages that I can't find a source (in the original games at least) for Stanton Dowd being the leader of the Templars before the MJ12 coup. I noticed it was you that added that info to the article. I was wondering if you remember what the source was? Thanks!

    • That's what I mean, I don't remember it being mentioned in the original. Did you possibly add it to the Templar article by mistake? If that's the case then you just made something become canon :D

    • I honestly do not remember, but if things went so ... WOW!!! :)

  • I've asked one of our most active editors Sugarhoney if they'd be interested in admin rights considering Mankind Divided will be released soon. There aren't many active admins at the moment, and with the increase in edits we'll see soon I think we'll benefit from another one. Sugarhoney is very qualified to be as they have been an active editor here for a long time and therefore know the wiki well. They also already do admin related tasks such as undoing vandalism, and nominating pages for deletion.

If you have no objections to it, I plan to give Sugarhoney admin rights. Let me know what you think!

    • Hi Arcaedia, I agree with the appointment of Sugarhoney to admin and I share your concern about the increase in edits with the release of MD. Go on! ;)

    • Thanks for getting back to me! Glad you agree :)

    • You're welcome...we must prepare for the release of MD!

  • Ciao! Even I live in Italy. The DX:HR version in Italian is not bad compared to other games' voices, isn't it?

[esempio: open 03_NYC_747]

  • Good afternoon!

I wanted to personally reach out and start the conversation about portable infoboxes. I've created a thread on the forum in order to be able to answer any questions that you or the Dues Ex users have. Feel free to leave messages there or on my wall and I'll try to answer them as best as I can. :)

  • Hello, I'm sending this message to formally request admin status on this wiki. I've been contributing to the wiki for just over 3 weeks now and in that time I've noticed that there have been virtually no regularly online admins.

In that time I've also noticed pages and categories which, in my opinion, ought to be deleted (I've added a few of them to the 'nominated for deletion' category) but obviously I'm unable to do this myself. Also, I've been keeping an eye on edits from wikia contributors in particular and undoing any undesirable edits. I asked Nathan2000 to block one of these users which he kindly obliged, but it would be convenient to be able to do that myself.

As for my contributions, this is the list of my contribs so far. The things that stick out, I suppose, are my cleaning up of all the pages in the "Deus Ex computers and terminals" category (added locations, logins, fixed formatting etc.), my edits to the Area 51 page (it's only one page but it took a lot of work), my adding of screenshots to various articles (mainly Deus Ex locations) and my, not fully completed, revamping of the Passwords/Logins/Codes (DX) page - it's quite a bit of work and therefore isn't finished yet.

I understand if I haven't been contributing for long enough to be entrusted with admin rights but I think the wiki could benefit from an active admin (even if it's not me). Thank you so much for reading this request and I'd be delighted if you get the chance to respond to it :)

  • My name’s Matt and I’m a community development associate for Wikia. I’m in charge of a periodical feature called “Guided Tours” where I interview experts on a given topic, asking questions about how they got into their area of expertise and how they recommend others do the same. Our next feature is going to be on Cyberpunk video games -- and, of course, Deus Ex fits the bill!

If you could provide answers, as short or long as you see fit, to the questions below, your responses will be featured in the article. Check out a recent Guided Tours article for an example.

    Thanks!

    1. Tell me a bit about yourself and your involvement in the Deus Ex Wiki.
    3. How did you get into Deus Ex? How's about into Cyberpunk games in general?
    4. How would you recommend a beginner get into Cyberpunk games? Any particular title that would serve as a good starting point?
    5. Is there anything you wouldn't recommend?
    6. Any additional advice you’d give to someone new to Cyberpunk video games?
    6. What resources on your wiki might be useful to an aspiring Cyberpunk gamer?

    Thanks!

  • Hey, I made the note about Icarus' icon flashing Bob Page and Morgan Everett's icon after infolink messages.

Are you really sure this is a bug or could it be something the developers hoped that a fair few would find this?

    • Haven't been on this in a while but what was the fourth going to be about? Do you know from the Deus Ex Bible?

        Loading editor
    • Thanks for coming back! ...on the fourth Deus Ex does not know anything yet, wait for news from Eidos Montreal... as far as the Bible, I am aware of, and in fact much of the information about the background come from there ;)
