Micro-assembler
The Micro-Assembler is an experimental augmentation in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided provided by the Tactical Pack DLC. The Micro-Assembler is used to break down items into crafting parts, and decrease the number of parts required for crafting and upgrading.

Details Edit

  • The base augmentation permits dismantling of items into crafting parts at a conversion rate of 5 crafting parts per block of inventory space.
  • The first upgrade reduces the cost of crafting and upgrading by 15%.
  • The second upgrade reduces the cost of crafting and upgrading by another 15% from the base amount, for a total reduction of 30% from the base amount.

Description Edit

This augmentation upgrades the robotic arm assembly with precise motors and detailed deconstruction routines. This allows the user to break-down and recycle many item types into weapon parts for future upgrades.

The Micro-Assembler can break down weapons, ammo, and many other item types with metal pieces, such as explosives, software, and junk items. The number of parts created are based on the physical size of the item used.

Upgrade Optimizer Edit

Modifications to the Micro-Assembler routines allow it to evaluate part requirements on a per-item basis and suggest more efficient construction methods. The end result is that both crafting new items and upgrades to existing items require fewer weapon parts to perform.

Upgrade Maximizer Edit

Further upgrades to the Micro-Assembler bypass safety and longevity concerns to once again streamline construction. This substantially reduces the cost of upgrades and crafting, even compared to the standard Upgrade Optimizer.

Gameplay Edit

Allows breaking down weapons, ammo, and other items into weapon parts from the Inventory.

  • Activation cost: 1 Praxis
  • Activation: Manual
  • Energy consumption: none

Upgrade OptimizerEdit

Reduces the cost of upgrades and crafting using Weapon Parts.

  • Upgrade requirement: Micro-Assembler
  • Upgrade cost: 1 Praxis
  • Activation: manual
  • Energy consumption: none

Upgrade MaximizerEdit

Further reduces the cost of upgrades and crafting using Weapon Parts.

  • Upgrade requirement: Upgrade Optimizer
  • Upgrade cost: 1 Praxis
  • Activation: manual
  • Energy consumption: none

Notes Edit

  • Nearly all items containing metal can be broken down. For example, Gyroscopic Regulator, Stem Processor Chip, and Hydraulic Micropump can be broken down. Marchenko's Killswitch and Signal Jammer from Stanek may also be dismantled.
  • This augmentation does not feature neural wave in Jensen's head. Instead, players only see a silhouette of Jensen's head.
  • No energy is consumed whenever items are broken down.
  • This augmentation is experimental.
  • Micro-assembler will not show up during the scripted augmentation tour given by Václav Koller.
  • Curiously, this augmentation fills Cranial slot. Arms would have been a more proper slot.
  • As this augmentation only costs 1 Praxis kit to unlock, players may choose not to have the Optimizer upgrade.
  • At base level, the augmentation seems to only upgrade Jensen’s arm assembly and motors and provide detailed deconstruction routines.
  • At first level upgrade, this augmentation gains the ability to analyze each craftable item.
  • At maximum level, this augmentation bypasses safety and longetivity concerns.
  • Hacking software may be broken down.
  • Despite containing metals, canned alcoholic beverages and HypoStim Injectors may not be broken down.
