- New Vision - Environmental texture overhaul.
- Project HDTP - Overhaul of all in-game models.
- Helios Texture Overhaul - Upscales all characters, items, and decorations using modern AI.
- Deus Ex Enhanced - Fixes graphic issues with scopes, different aspect rations and increased font resolution.
- Unreal Engine Direct3D 10 Renderer - Renderer that provides a new lighting scheme and other features.
- Unreal Engine Direct3D 11 Renderer - Renderer with some extra features such as tesselation, Screen Space Reflections and SSAO.
Gameplay[]
Mods that introduce changes to gameplay mechanics and environments but still take place in the original "campaign".
- Shifter - Adds new weapons to the game and gives NPCs more random inventories.
- Biomod - Built upon Shifter, redesigns augmentations to be more automatic.
- Deus Ex: Revision - An overhaul of environment, graphics, soundtrack and gaming experience.
- Give Me Deus Ex - A large-scale overhaul modification which features changes to AI, weaponry, RPG mechanics, environmental detail, audio, effects, and user interface.
- GMDX 'v10' Community Update - A redux version of GMDX, with bug fixes and changes to make the mod feel more like the vanilla game.
- Deus Ex: Transcended - An attempt to refine the core game without adding major systems or overhauls.
- GOTY Japanese Gameplay Mod - Ports the changes made to the official Japanese version back to English copies.
- Vanilla Matters - All-round mechanic overhauls, bugfixes, quality of life improvements to various aspects of the game.
- Vanilla? Madder - Revamps combat, Inventory management, skill trees, and story mod support.
- Vanilla Madders Legacy - A humorous version of Vanilla? Madder, adding new features, "cut content," and gameplay mechanics.
- Hardcore DX - Adds new weapons, more enemies, and multiplayer vs bots. For skilled players only.
- Human Renovation - Bug fixes, gameplay tweaks and makes the enemy stats scale with difficulty.
- unifiedDeusEx - New higher-res icons for inventory items and augmentations, includes Biomod v1.0 gameplay changes.
- Deus Ex Randomizer - A randomizer for Deus Ex, also adding quality of life changes and new gamemodes.
- Smoke's Mod - Adds a crouch-jump and various quality of life features.
- Lay D Denton - Lets you play as a female JC Denton. Includes full voice acting and various game tweaks to accommodate a female protagonist. (Deus Ex was originally supposed to have the option for a female protagonist, but this feature was dropped during development.)
- Greasel of the Year Edition - Lets you play as a Greasel through the whole campaign.
- HX - Co-op campaign mod.

- Deus Exe - Game launcher that fixes various issues running on modern computers, provides a configuration menu, and includes a mod manager.
- Launch - Game launcher featuring resolution and audio subsystem selection dialogues, fixes for game running at a non constant speed, and disabling of data execution prevention (DEP).

- Soccer Mod - A soccer minigame for multiplayer matches.
- DXStats - Puts an ambrosia vial in your inventory which tracks your stats.
- DXChallenge - Gives a list of challenges to enable, with death if any are failed.
- Deus Ex Commmunity Update - Includes all available translations, many patches, multiple gameplay mods, video and audio renderers, and editing tools.
- Deus Ex Revision GOG Update - Updates the GOG release of Revision to the latest version.
- Gore Mod - a mod which alters and significantly improves the quality of the vanilla gore and blood in Deus Ex.
- Portal Gun - Spawns a portal gun by typing "summon portalgunv4.portalgunv5" while having cheats enabled.
- Radar Mod - Adds a HR-esque radar augmentation to JC's office.
- Revenge of the Sith - A humorous mod based on the Star Wars prequels.

- The Nameless Mod - A total conversion mod with a new story based on the (long gone) PDX/PlanetDeusEx Forums.
- Deus Ex: Nihilum - A total conversion mod with a new story set in an alternate Deus Ex continuity.
- Redsun 2020 - A total conversion mod with a new story set in Japan.
- ZODIAC - A total conversion mod where you play as Paul Denton, the augmented brother of the infamous JC Denton, uncovering another massive conspiracy on his own. Oh, and aliens!
- Burden of 80 Proof - Short total conversion playing as Peter Kent in a middle-class suburb.
- Terminus Machina - Total conversion set in a post apocalyptic version of the USA with some nifty mechanics like hacking and crafting.
- Invisible War Revised - A re-imagining of Invisible War.
- Hotel Carone - Additional missions set after LaGuardia Airport, implementing an alternate storyline where JC Denton stays loyal to UNATCO despite his brother's warnings.
- Unreal Revolution - A parody of Human Revolution where JC Denton has to rescue Tracer Tong. Lampoons various aspects from HR like DLCs and the yellow color filter. Mirror.
- The Malkavian Mod - A rather humorous mod with its own story that doesn't affect the core gameplay or story, famous for spawning a substantional amount of Deus Ex memes. We're 100% BLACK.
- 2027 - A prequel to Deus Ex. Work as mercenary Daniel to explore Paris, Moscow, Siberia, and Mt. Weather, Virginia, to uncover a secret plot. Heavily inspired by Human Revolution.
- Frozen Hell - Total conversion (and movie) set in the world after Deus Ex: Invisible War.
- Apocalypse Inside - Total conversion where you play as Tantalus Denton. Made by the same creator as Frozen Hell.
- Der Zeit Mann - Total conversion set in the year 3048.
- Chasm - AKA 'Otchłań Mod'. A Polish horror total conversion. Very, VERY (slav)janky, with a terrible translation and absolutely no handholding whatsoever. If you like difficult mods or the Amnesia series of games, try this. Walkthrough by mK.
- MUTATIONS- A series of six missions involving Majestic 12 and mutated transgenic creatures.
- Chronos - A short mod featuring time travel and bullet-time.

- Surreal 98 - A program that will allow VR, raytracing, and the overall game to be played in UE4. This will also work with other Unreal 1 games, though Deus Ex is the main focus.

Mission Packs[]
