National Security Agency is a United States federal agency tasked with maintaining domestic security. The agency's power increased tremendously in the 21st century, with the suspension of Posse Comitatus in the wake of the 2015 oil crash and the Green River Energy Bill. It also operated the Echelon surveillance system, although it vehemently denied this fact.

By 2052, it was one of the bodies whose consent was necessary for centralizing global Internet traffic through Page Industries' Aquinas router, next to the Hague Commission on Secure Communications.
