A neuroplasticity calibrator is a device used to calibrate the brain's interactions with augmentations. The device is manufactured by Tai Yong Medical and appears as a story item in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Acquisition of the item results in the side mission SM08: The Fix being given after completion of M11: Confronting the Bomb-Maker or M12: The Heist.
Description[]
This is a neuroplasticity calibrator. It is used to help tune augmentations and adjust how the brain activates and interacts with them.
Acquisition[]
There are two opportunities to acquire a neuroplasticity calibrator.
- During the first visit to Prague, the item can be acquired from Otar Botkoveli's casino in the Čistá Čtvrť sewers. Acquisition of the item is the objective of SM04: The Calibrator. If SM04: The Calibrator is not completed, Václav Koller will later inform Jensen that he has received the calibrator from Otar, but the calibrator has been smashed and destroyed.
- If the deal is made with Otar, it will be on the desk in his upstairs office. Otherwise, it will be in his safe (4863).
- If not acquired during the first visit to Prague, another calibrator can be acquired from the locked safe in Tai Yong Medical's corporate vault in the Palisade Property Bank, after returning from Golem City. The calibrator will appear in the vault only if it was not previously acquired.
Use[]
- The calibrator is given to Koller. In SM08: The Fix, Koller will use the calibrator to enable Jensen to use his experimental augmentations without resulting in overclock.
Trivia[]
- A TF29 Agent during the second visit to Prague states that this was part of a Tai Yong Medical shipment that was stolen and routed to the Dvalis.
