Soda is a consumable item in Deus Ex. Consuming a can of soda restores 2 HP. Soda cans can be found in game environments and can also be purchased from vending machines for 2 credits. Multiple cans of soda stack in the inventory. A total of 10 can be carried at any given time.

Soda can be used as low-efficacy substitutes for medkits. Consuming a can of soda will trigger a burping sound.
Notes and trivia[]
- All soda cans seen in-game are of the "Nuke!" brand. However, unused textures for three other brands ("Zap!, "B" and "Blast") can be found in the game files.
- In Deus Ex, Gunther Hermann is known for his line "No. I wanted orange. It gave me lemon-lime." This line is spoken when Gunther is first seen near a vending machine in the UNATCO Headquarters. Gunther's preference for orange soda is referenced in the novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect, which contains the description: "Hermann put down his tools and took a careful drink from a can of orange soda."
