A modified revolver is one mean weapon! I suggest adding laser targeting system and explosive rounds as well as damage mods to your revolver as these will turn it into an accurate "mini-grenade launcher". Each shot will cause a small explosion upon reaching its target which becomes useful when dealing with multiple enemies who are standing close to each other. I prefered this weapon when fighting small and medium-sized robots as well as turrets, because it could take them out with just four shots, and my revolver was not fully upgraded in terms of damage. There is just enough ammo to help you deal with robots, heavies and mobs of crazies later on. Even heavily armoured Belltower guards would die after two shots from this gun (possibly one if you score a headshot). Flamdring 02:56, September 11, 2011 (UTC)
Too true! One thing I've noticed, though I don't want to put it on the main page witout confirmation, is that shrapnel damage from the explosive revolver can actually incapacitate as opposed to kill; it became a go-to weapon even as a Pacifist! Far better bang (haha) for your buck than the terribly inaccurate (my opinion) sniper rifle, and slightly better than the tranq. If you're going for carnage, you could do far worse than the revolver! Can anyone tell me if the whole "swing sideways" method of popping the cylinder is even possible? It's a cool effect, but I'm wondering how the cylinder has enough room to swing past the frame and still nest firmly against the hammer.Kalaong (talk) 23:27, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
Directors Cut - Burke's revolver vs normal revolver[]
Now that the director's cut has been released and it is now possible (theoretically) to have both Burke's revolver compared to the standard upgraded revolver, what meret is there to keeping Burke's revolver when it seems so vastly inferior to it's counterpart?198.29.40.167 05:14, October 31, 2013 (UTC)Xerrol Nanoha
Additional Notes: I noticed that Burke's revolver actually offloads four rounds about a half a second faster than my upgraded diamondback. My Diamondback is fully maxed out, it's rate of fire shows four bars, Burke's shows five bars, but can't hold as many shots and has 2 bars less of damage than the fully upgraded Diamondback. What I'm wondering is.... Do we go by the bars in the description or is Burke's revolver actually worth carrying? I will do some damage tests and get back to this wiki in a while.--XexyzChronos (Steam, Deus Ex Directors Cut for PC). Damage tests done, if you have a fully upgraded revolver or if the bar levels are higher than Burke's, keep your revolver, it's better. Too bad it isn't gold/yellow and black though...
