Tech goggles provide night vision for 12.5 seconds. Unlike other charged pickups, the duration of the item is not extended by the Environmental Training skill.
Night vision provided by tech goggles is identical to the first tier of the Vision Enhancement augmentation. Besides the Vision Enhancement augmentation, the Light augmentation can also serve as a substitute to tech goggles for purposes of navigating darker areas. Unlike augmentations, tech goggles do not require bioelectric energy to function. However, compared to these augmentations, tech goggles have the disadvantage of requiring inventory space, in addition to its short duration.
