I got the Hacking: Analyze because it's short and cheap. I never bothered with Hacking: Fortify for redundancy.
I have lifting heavy objects for said reason. The cloaking ability seems like cheating to me but I'll get the first tier for bypassing laser grids. I was thinking of getting the Reflex Booster and upgrading the energy recharge to max. Even though I'll have one cell it should refill like crazy. I've played enough stealth games to warrant disregarding the Stealth Enhancer and the Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis.
If only I'd realized that punching through walls automatically kills the person on the other side. Now my Pacifist attempt is ruined.
Analyze can be useful for prioritizing nodes that contain Stop! Worms or Nuke Viruses so its not a waste if want to be really good at hacking. You're right, Cloak is quite powerful but it's balanced by the really high energy drain. If you have experience with stealth games I'm sure you can go without it. Yeah upgrading energy recharge sounds like a good idea.
That's a shame :( The game should really warn you about that, or at least give you the option to take the person out non lethally. Was it not possible to reload at the time?Â
I didn't realize the person was dead until backtracking after a save. Plus I accidentally got a group of anti-aug teenagers slaughtered by the police after they starting shooting at me. I hightailed it out of the building and the police, hearing gunfire, stormed the place and massacred everyone. Their blood is on my hands regardless if the game doesn't count it. And all but one hostage died due to my procrastination.
(Sometimes I get really deep in RPing in games.)
Ah I see. Deus Ex can be a really fun world to get immersed in role-playing wise. I actually noticed some of your RP related stuff on the Elder Scrolls Wiki, it was good!
One think about Human Revolution is that it has a huge amount of replayability, so if you like it, you can always play it again and go 100% pacifist.
Sweet! I had no idea that anyone outside TES Wiki had seen my work! Have you seen my adventure thread and its sequel?
I'm not a regular on TES Wiki but I tend to visit it occasionally to see what's going on :) Maybe I might start editing there or posting on forums in the future. I've not actually looked through the threads properly, but I will now! They look really interesting.
That would be great! Can you help me with a little side project here? BTW I managed to kill him.
I'm glad you managed to kill Barrett! Just be warned that there are 2 more similar boss fights so maybe have a weapon ready for those. (I replied to the other thread by the way)
Go back to the beginning before entering the room, you did save beforehand right. Then go all the way back to the beginning of the level when you got off the elevator. In that area is a rocket launcher, the sucker take up a lot of room so you will have drop stuff. Do not worry when the boss fight is over you can get the goods then and take that elevator up. Three shots from the rocket launcher and Barrett is dead!!!!!
Since I am too clumsy throwing things (always missed Barrett), here is another way if you have distance weapons (sniper or tranquilizer). Throw a grenade or two, run to the far right corner of the room, climb up the ladder. At the end of that room, there is a crate, behind that is a Jeffries tube. From there you can switch between the two upper rooms and a window in the middle, Just shoot from one postion, crawl to the next, shoot from there, repeat until done. As soon as you are up there, you are pretty safe as long as you do not stand too long in one spot
