The Direct3D 10 renderer is an alternate renderer designed to improve the visual appearance of game environments. This custom renderer does not alter any of the game's texture, but instead only affects the lighting scheme and other rendering-related visual effects. Compared to the game's baseline Direct3D renderer, the Direct3D 10 renderer generally increases the gamma, brightness, and vibrance of game environments.
