After posting a cryptic vine earlier this week, Eidos finally revealed that a new Deus Ex game is in the works, but not exactly what most people expected -- Deus Ex: The Fall is an iOS-exclusive mobile game set to release for phones and tablets this summer. The game is a sequel to Deus Ex: Icarus Effect , the 2011 novel, and will follow protagonist Ben Saxon.
How do you all feel about this? There is a lot of vitriol going around the internet right now, most of it probably justified. That said, this game is at least a bone for us, who havent even heard a peep from the series since The Missing Link in 2011. Maybe this is only here to keep us busy until a more ambitious project comes out? E3 is less than a week away...
(Personally, I want to see a DE and DEIW remake sometime soon. That said, I loved Icarus Effect and Im interested to see more of it in the form of The Fall. Its not exactly what I wanted, but at this point anything is better than nothing).
