The dialogue challenge with William Taggart occurs during the Finding Isaias Sandoval mission in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Winning the challenge causes Taggart to meet with Jensen backstage to reveal Sandoval's location, unlocking The Throwdown achievement. Losing the challenge causes Taggart to refuse to help Jensen, forcing him to get the information another way.
The challenge can always be won by always picking confront unless Taggart says one of the following lines:
- "Take your recording to the police…"
- "If you play that recording for the police…"
- "What do you expect to gain here today…"
- "What is it you’re truly looking for here?"
