Yu Tao is a minor character in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. He appears in the mission "Stowing Away".
Overview[]
On level 3 of the Harvester hideout, Yu Tao can be seen inside the illegal augmentation surgeon room smoking. Nearby will sit a fire extinguisher, augmented legs and arms, Typhoon ammo and a M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device. If killed or pacified, Yu will drop his Machine Pistol and a Pocket Secretary. On the Secretary will be a conversation between him and his colleague, Yui Shining. Essentially, the conversation is about the safe combination on level 1 of the hideout.
Trivia[]
- In the mission "Hunting the Hacker", on Brass Knuckles' pocket secretary will be a mention of a character known as "Yu" who is also a Harvester. It is theorized this could be Yu Tao however it has never been confirmed.
- Yu's model is later used for a cinematic cutscene involving him and other harvesters applying new augs onto their boss, Tong Si Hung. It's unknown if this is Yu or just another unidentified Harvester.
- Yu will never leave the surgeon room unless Adam Jensen is seen as a hostile by all other Harvesters.
